Congrats! It's a great official blog that I like because it often has developers talking about the development process behind their games and their is a strong engagement with the community. What I took for granted about the PlayStation blog is that they let gamers comment on articles, whether good or bad. I was pleased when Microsoft launched Xbox Wire last year but very disappointed they blocked gamers from commenting. I wanted them to listen to my opinion about DRM but it felt like th...
Competition is great and Sony deserve a lot of credit for coming up with this new business model. I was going to let my Xbox Live subscription lapse but this might make keep hold of it to build up some games in the event I buy an Xbone - sweet!
Watch TV on XB one? Goal!
I don't wanna see Major Nelson and the gurning smile he makes when he says "you can't just flip a switch."
Phil Spencer - Yes.
Shuhei Yoshida - Yes.
Major Nelson - NO.
With the amount of reveals Microsoft have made BEFORE E3 it makes you think they have got so much to show at their conference. Phil Spencer has certainly been talking confidently about it, almost boastful. I'm expecting megatons!
Article doesn't make any mention of what is arguably the most important feature - the refresh rate.
Phil Spencer says he owns a PS4? That's crazy. I don't know whether this proves his 'true gamer' credentials and praise his honesty or make a joke about how even the head of Xbox wants to play games in 1080p! Good stuff.
FIFA is the biggest football game in the world.
Insomniac has a shared history with Sony. They both helped each other. Sony gave Insomniac steady developer work for hire and Sony benefited from a loyal third party studio. But they didn't have a falling out. Yes Ted Price has made a deal with Microsoft but this doesn't mean he will forget the company that helped his business flourish - it's just manners.
Totilo is deluded to say the OS chugs when app switching and criticising the layout of the PlayStation store as a flaw of the PS4. Perhaps he would have praised it more if it came in a green box from Redmond? I find the OS to be fast and snappy and I love seeing what my friends are doing by looking at my activity feed. There's also the Vita remote play which works brilliantly with my 8mb connection and means I can play PS4 games in bed. I love all the auto downloads and installs. It's...
Nintendo flagging up videos on YouTube means they are cutting their own throat. The people who make Let's Play videos will stop making them because it is unprofitable or their are too many legal hurdles. The public will be less inclined to buy Nintendo products because there is less of a social/YouTube ecosystem around it. Not a forward thinking move.
Well done to Ubisoft. Sales would definitely have been helped by releasing it in May when there are hardly any other games. I wish other publishers learnt to release their games throughout the year.
I am really curious to know what this is all about!
Hiring out theatre screens to broadcast their E3 press conference makes me wonder if they have something special to show. .
I suspect we'll see GTAV dlc and I suspect Microsoft will have a timed exclusive.
Sony and Ready at Dawn should have given more thought to revealing new game footage via Twitch! It is compressed and has just added some negativity discussion to their product. Hopefully they release a high quality video of the same footage. I can't wait to see more on the E3 stage.
The headline of this article is so disappointing. I don't get why some writers on websites think that being unbiased means praising two formats equally - even if the praise is unjustified.
From the early leaked copies the praise for the graphics including the colours of one format has been universal. So I don't see any journalistic integrity in incorrectly praising another format's graphics just to appease the format owners. This shouldn't be Fox News aiming t...
Kaz sees streaming games as the future and wants to invest in building a network infrastructure that can support it.
I see the potential of PlayStation Now, but now more and more people are carrying powerful smart devices that are capable games machines I'm not sure I see game streaming as dominating gaming. But I'm really glad Kaz has so much faith in PlayStation.
I am hopeful of a next-gen GTA but this article is just speculation.
Microsoft & Sony invites all sorts of media and blog staff to their E3 press events so there would have been nothing wrong with going to the Microsoft press conference. However It would have been wrong to attend the actual E3 show as Microsoft's guest as it would have seemed that NeoGaf owed MS something or was beholden to them or that MS is the favoured manufacturer of Gaf staff.
Polygon is backed by Microsoft money and their reviews have zero credibility - althoug...
POLYGON report that the Xbox One is 10% more powerful which is great for gamers and basically means the death of Kinect exclusive games although it will still be used for voice control and OS navigation.
It's funny that Polygon make this their headline story and are pushing the benefits of their preferred platform.
